Happy Veterans Day

Happy Veterans Day!

To my fellow brothers and sisters in arms, thanks for all you have done in serving our great country. One of the greatest honors in my life was the service my wife and I were allowed to give.

A couple of months ago I had the opportunity to help out a vet. I had to take his truck in for a repair. On the back window was a Semper Fi sticker. In the back of the truck was a pair of muddy boots. I called him on the phone on my way to the repair shop and told him, "I'm not surprised to see muddy boots in the back of your truck, It's just that it hasn't rained in many months. I don't know where you found mud, but I appreciate what you do." Thanks guys, Here's to you. :cheers2:

WHAT IS A VETERAN?

A Veteran is a man or woman who wrote a blank check to the United States of America for an amount up to and including their life. All paid some some paid all.

God Bless America's Veterans. :patriot:

:hurry: Happy Veterans Day to all of our Vets!

On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918 the big war ended. One year later, President Wilson declared this day Armistice Day. Now known as Veterans Day.

:patriot: Today, 11/11/11 is, indeed, a very special Veterans Day. :patriot:

Every day in my prayers I include those who have served, are serving, will serve and their families. My daddy, a former Navy SEAL, taught me to respect and appreciate those who had served as well as their families, and also ingrained this in my children. Dad didn't think he was "veteran worthy" as he lost an eye during SEAL training and never left US soil so; although he was eligible, would never accept disability. I didn't even know about his SEAL training until I was in my 20's. Because of his amazing patriotic attitude, we rarely walk past someone in uniform without shaking their hand and thanking them and their families.

On this special day I want to express my gratitude to all of you who have served and your families! :patriot:
