Please Pray For My Granddaughter

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

Please Pray For My Granddaughter

Post by carlson1 »

My 3 year old grandddaughter is hospitalized in Tyler. She was given a shot of Amoxicillin along with an oral prescription. No one knew she is highly allergic to it. She has had respiratory problems, blisters inside her little mouth, and a horrible rash.

Her name is Carli. She was named after her Pa. We love her dearly.

Thank You.

That's terrible, and we'll be praying for her. The good news Carl is that even though the situation is dangerous to her, it is also easily treatable once recognized and she will probably recover fairly quickly. Prayers on their way.

Best wishes for Carli's full recovery - hope to hear she's bouncing on grandpa's knee very soon!

Unfortunately, taking an antibiotic is one of the prime ways that we find out we're allergic to it. If the doc hasn't mentioned it, might want to whisper in Mom and Dad's ear to get any of Carli's siblings tested for Penicillin/Amoxicillin senstivity once things settle down.

Praying for her! My sister had the same thing happen to her when she was 18 months old (this would be like 1986-ish). She recovered fully and had no long term effects from it.
