...Sight for Sore Eyes...

Post by knljr »

...they are moving fast these days...

My packet started processing around 10/31 and just logged in and got my 'mailed' notification tonight.

I had a few 'blemishes' on my record from about 20 years ago - but had certified copies of all the appropriate docs included with my application. I also wrote a one-page letter "to whom it may concern..." giving my take on the offenses with a short update on what I've done since then. I'm not sure if that helped...but if you have had some indescretions in your past and turned out well, it probably can't hurt to personalize the application a little bit.

Anyway, just waiting on the paper...I live in Austin so hopefully by the end of the week. Unfortunately, just moved into a new house so I don't even have my mailbox keys yet.

Congrats! I have a couple blemishes as well. I didn't give a full blown narrative (I did do a play by play summary overview of the dispositions), but seriously considered something along the lines of what you did.... Given your success maybe I should have!! Congrats again!
