I was in Vegas in September, dropped a bet on them to win the AFC Championship at Caesars. So far so good.

Good time for a bye. I'll go as far to say that no one in the AFC looks better right now.

ESPN is reporting he is out for the season. Hopefully Matt Leinart doesn't drive the remainder of the season over a cliff!

All he has to do is NOT throw pics. If he can do this one thing ...

Four games to go and still sitting a top the AFC at 9-3! TJ Yates impressed me yesterday. A win next week against the Bengals combined with a loss by the Titans against the Saints and the Texans will clinch the divivsion for the first time in team history. That will also get them a playoff game at home.

I was at that game yesterday. It was the loudest game I have been to at Reliant by far! Definantly a playoff atmosphere at the game.

I'm just a bit devastated that Andre was hurt again. Getting him back heading down the stretch to the playoffs was a huge plus...especially considering he and T.J. had had the most hook-up time while Andre practiced during his recovery. I haven't heard any news today--will watch the networks at 5:00--but my guess is, the way he pulled up and hit the dirt in the middle of that route, that we may have lost Andre through the playoffs. And it looked to be his left leg; it was the right side that blew a tire earlier this season. Sad. The best in the league, IMHO, and with the best work ethic and humility about it since Jerry Rice.

And don't underestimate the injury to Brett Hartmann. The way he was carted off, I'm thinking it may be a season-ending knee ligament. I know he's a rookie, but he's proven he can punt, and at a very fit 6'2" and 220, he's also a legitimate tackling threat if a punt-returner makes it past everyone else. He and Rackers probably both got into some trouble this season with Kubiak for putting themselves in harm's way for aggressive tackling, but it was Hartmann's throw-down on the Buccaneers' Briscoe that made the highlight reel: he went at Briscoe like a linebacker, not a punter.

Jacoby Jones will undoubtedly come back in for Andre, but I don't know what the team will do about Hartmann. Wonder if they'll give a call to Matt Turk; I don't think he's on a roster anywhere right now.

Certainly no gimme in Cincinnati next week...

As a lifelong Saints fan, I sure hope my boys can oblige next Sunday.

Fixed it for you.
Nice final drive by the 3rd string rookie QB! Put that together with the Titans loss to the Saints and the Texans are in the playoffs for the 1st time in franchise history. Congratulations guys!
