Can I campus carry?
I am going on a road trip to pick up my niece from college at UT in Tyler and I wanted to make sure I can carry. As I understand it, I treat the campus just like any other school. As long as I'm not in any buildings I should be okay for the most part. Am I correct?

To the best of my knowledge, you are correct. See my signature line for details.
I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.

Any event like football games or outdoor pep rallys etc. is forbidden while carrying.

To echo others, as long as you don't set foot in a campus building carry away!

It's a sad commentary when the inside of the classroom is more dangerous than the outside of it, isn't it?
