I was asked, will bad credit stop you from getting a CHL? I didn't know the answer.

Bad credit would not cause someone to not qualify.

The only financial rules I'm aware of are:

1. You can't be delinquent in child support.
2. You can't be delinquent in state taxes.

10/25/2010 - Quals and Fingerprinting Done
11/3/2010 -- Application mailed to DPS
11/9/2010 -- Received at DPS
12/18/2010 -- Plastic in hand

One more: You can't have written a bad check to DPS. (You have to pay with Money order or Certified check.)

If someone bounced a chech to DPS are they blocked from the online app and paying with credit card?
