On a lighter note, I have never shot at a mouse with a 9mm but I once shot a rat with a 454 Casull. No second shot was required. Also, no bystanders were shot but a buddy who was about 30 feet away ended up with a piece of rat stuck to his pants.

An uncle of mine once put 5 .44 Mag slugs through the floor of his deer stand shooting at a field mouse.....he does not care for mice.
Re: Man Shoots at Mouse - Hits Roommate
My ex-Brother-In-Law's brothers were in their early 20's and shared a trailer. They had been drinking one night and a mouse ran across the floor and stopped my the door to the kitchen. One of them grabbed a shotgun that was leaning against the wall and shot at the mouse. The mouse took off just before the shot was fired, but the blast took out a good chunk of the door frame at the the floor.
Let me just say these guys were not the sharpest tools in the shed. BIL was totally unlike them; he was a Vietnam Vet and had been a door gunner in a Huey and had 3 Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star.
