FWIW, Washington Mutual has/had several banks around Houston that had not only manned metal detectors, but the metal detectors were in "airlocks" through which you had to be buzzed, one at a time to enter the lobby. These "airlocks" featured armored glass and massive mag-locks. Don't know how many of the banks had them but the one at Rockhill and Broadway as well as the GulfGate facility had these "airlocks." Banks in "nicer" parts of town do not sport such security features.txinvestigator wrote:Your bank has a metal detector? Are you sure? My bank has a gaurd at the door and a metal detector, but they dont have a valid 30.06 just a ghostbusters .Now maybe I am wrong but I thought you couldnt carry at a bank but I could be wrong.it wouldnt be the first time I am wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now here's the goofy part. In the Washington Mutual at Rockhill and Broadway, the side of the bank opposite Broadway is still a big, unarmored, glass wall with standard metal framed doors. A well placed rock would allow unimpeded entry but I guess I wasn''t supposed to notice that.
