Registration leads to confiscation.

As opposed to the current leading Republican candidate, who DID in Massachusetts?Heartland Patriot wrote:...And once again, for any of you who say you will only vote Republican IF you get a certain candidate, just remember which party (at the present time) favors gun control more. Certainly.Registration leads to confiscation.
Far fetched? On Dec. 20, the RCMP Canadian Firearms Texas DPS concealed handgun licensing Program — the office charged with administering gun control regulations in Canada Texas — served hundreds thousands of registered licensed firearms owners with a "notice of revocation."
"This notice is to inform you that in accordance with new federal laws, the firearm registration certificates license indicated below have been revoked," says the letter, obtained by Postmedia any News agency. "You have 30 days to deliver your firearms to a peace officer, firearms officer . . . or to otherwise lawfully dispose of them."
I knew someone would bring that up...and that is where the Republican Congress comes in, to keep that guy (or any other) in line regarding these sorts of issues. The Republican Party can't keep the Occupier in line because he has a severe ideological agenda and doesn't care. Even Bill Clinton cared a little. There is an ideal of how politics SHOULD work in our nation, and the reality of how it DOES work. I'm sorry if I'm cynical, but it took a whole lot of folks and a whole lot of events to make me this way. Nothing lasts forever, not even democratic republics that are good for the citizens...one of the Founding Fathers said something about the people and largesse, IIRC. So, I'll say it again: I want the person in office that will do the least to cause ME trouble...and if its the guy from Mass. vs. the Occupier, the guy from Mass gets my vote. The Occupier doesn't know me, but I suspect if he did, he wouldn't like me very much. I don't think the guy from Mass. would care too much, one way or the other...and that might have to be good enough.OldCannon wrote:As opposed to the current leading Republican candidate, who DID in Massachusetts?Heartland Patriot wrote:...And once again, for any of you who say you will only vote Republican IF you get a certain candidate, just remember which party (at the present time) favors gun control more. And the thousands of firearms that we loaned them, privately owned ones, that never got returned.Charles L. Cotton wrote:I'm coming to hate anything with the Union Jack on it. Special relationship my foot. We fought them twice (English, not Canadians), then bailed them out of two wars, never got repaid for all for the war material we provided, . . . I wish I could donate the English part of my blood, but then I'd be left with only French and that would be even worse.
