Stratfor Temporarily Free

Post by Skiprr »

http://www.stratfor.com/

Many of you may know that Austin-based Stratfor, a subscription-based provider of geopolitical and threat analysis, had its Website hacked recently by the group "Anonymous."

As you might expect, Stratfor methodically and meticulously worked to address the vulnerabilities that allowed the site to be hacked. They were offline for about two weeks.

The site came back online this week and, for an unspecified but undoubtedly brief amount of time, all Strafor content is available free of charge with no restrictions. This is a great opportunity to look at Stratfor's content and read some up-to-the moment articles.

FYI, I have no professional or commercial association with Stratfor. This is just passing along a freebie to our Forum members.

I'll check it out. I would love to read their stuff, but the $139.00/year subscription cost is more than I would want to spend on it. But I'll certainly take advantage of it while it's free. Thanks for the heads up.

:iagree: I've been on the part of their service that is free for about 2 years and really benefit from it. I, too, got the e-mails about the free service but blew them off, thinking that they were residuals from the hacking episode.
