Re: New Instructor's Test?
I can confirm there is a new instructors test. Took it last Thursday.
100 Questions. A couple still "in the works" and we were told they would be thrown out due to poor wording and such.

Re: New Instructor's Test?
So, I suppose the obvious question is ... Did the new test include any questions regarding the 'controversial' issues DPS seems to be teaching these days?

Re: New Instructor's Test?
In all fairness, only over the LAW, and not OPINION or interpretation...
That "legal limit" question we all get mad about is an example...questions are better than they were before.

One problem with that limit question is you could change minimum to maximum and the answer would be the same.

Re: New Instructor's Test?
Well, they are now officially referencing the definition of "intoxication" in the code portion of the class now...the interpretation/discretion portion of that definition is the one that causes all the heartburn...

Re: New Instructor's Test?
Yes...new test that apparently was first used in the Oct class. This test is for insructors only and not the same test as for students as was in the past. No, the questionable things were not asked on the test, only law and not interpretation. There were questions applicable only in regards to teaching...ie, types of things that could make teaching better or worse in a class setting. The only questions I missed were questions it seemed a lot in class had probs with due to bad wording. They are talking about creating a data base of 300 questions of which the computer will draw out 100 questions for your test.
