Vote for me! If elected, I will write laws in common English, none of that legal mumbo-jumbo. People will finally be able to understand the law, we will save paper by omitting unnecessary words, and we will save money because lawyers won't be able to argue whether or not the comma changes the meaning of the whole sentence.
Sec. 46.02. UNLAWFUL CARRYING WEAPONS. (a) A person commits an offense if the person intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly carries on or about his or her person a handgun, illegal knife, or club if the person is not:
(1) on the person's own premises or premises under the person's control; or
(2) inside of or directly en route to a motor vehicle that is owned by the person or under the person's control.
...is now...
Sec. 15. BEING BAD. Someone is in trouble if he or she is up to no good.
This is a court of law, young man, not a court of justice. - Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.

I'm not going to be an experimental test case. The law needs to change
for sure. In the mean time I plan to make my mistakes on the side
of being too careful. :???:

Maybe it would be a good idea to have endosrements on a CHL for
different types of weapons.

I had to take another test when I started driving a car since my origional
drivers license was restricted to motorcycle only
