The Constitution preserves the advantage of being armed which Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation where the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms. James Madison

Re: NRA-ILA appeals recent 2A decision
I just searched and searched to see if this had been posted yet, because I thought it would be a hot topic. And here it is, dead.
Maybe folks didn't know about this case, or maybe no one reads the NRA-ILA email updates. Maybe it's the title that doesn't catch the attention of us here in Texas where the case was brought.
I'm curious what people feel about this case........and before you share your thoughts, consider Campus Carry and how this case could/may effect current and future efforts to move Campus Carry forward.
It's a 2 edged sword.
Hopefully someone will notice this thread.

Thing that irritated me and always seems to irritate me ... is ignorance by persons in positions of authority when they could (they have the resources) research and learn the truth if they wanted to, but must choose not to through laziness or incompetence (sure they wouldn't ignore truth to promote an agenda)
The odd part is that it seems that normally that bit on home/away from home would be dicta, but if the Judge based his dismissal on a lawsuit about AGE on that proposition, then it becomes pertinent, just because the Judge wanted that issue in the forefront? (Though any person knowing history and the conditions surrounding the drafting of 2A and 3A would pretty well know)

At 18 I'm old enough to vote and be drafted, but not old enough to drink alcohol or earn a carry license.?? While I am definitely worried about the maturity of High School seniors vis-a-vis concealed carry, prohibiting CC while requiring draft registration and allowing to vote is definitely incongruous.
I am not a lawyer. This is NOT legal advice.!
