Kind of disappointed

Post by Mr.ViperBoa »

I ran into the instructor that did my CHL at the range this past month. Normally he has always been friendly. I told him that I had been certified to be an instructor, and his whole demeanor changed like he was upset that I would be competing against him or something and wouldn't hardly speak to me after that. I thought that was really sad that he acted that way.

Dont worry about that too much. That is not uncommon. Seems lots of instructors are insecure about their business. Personally, I think there is more than enough to go around.

We work together with several other instructor groups in our area. Some can do weekday classes, some can't. Some will do Sunday classes. We don't. Some will do classes over several days, while others only do one day classes. Staying in contact, we can send students back and forth to each other. It all works out. If we work together, there is no need for any anymosity.

I see from your website that you are shooting at Winchester. There are lots of instructors using that facility. Try to make contact with several of them. It will be to your benefit.
