It probably didn't say anything about CHLs before and there might have been a test case that the CHL holder won, which lead to the clarification in the law.

I have posted about this before. I am a foster parent and yes we were taught in our classes that we could not transport a foster child while being armed. I was glad when this changed. The bad part is according to the laws pertaining to foster parents, I am not allowed to carry in my own home lol. It is so stupid to me but thats the law. We have to abide by the same rules and laws as a state daycare service. It is in the human resource code some where. I cant remember exactly where at the moment, but I have read it. Maybe sometime in the future, we can get this amended as well. :tiphat:

What is a "state daycare service." Do you mean a daycare service licensed by the state or something different?

State law or Federal? Sounds like state since you mention the Human Resources Code. I find it mildly astounding that the HRC would be updated to permit CHL carry while transporting a foster child, but not updating it to also permit it at home. ?? Bizarre.

As an instructor and a foster parent, I bring this up at some point in every one of my classes just in case there is another foster parent in the class. :tiphat:
