Where To Get "BIT" Training?

Post by doc540 »

not sure where to post this, so here goes...

I'm in Beaumont, TX.

Apart from Argent Training in Friendswood, where can I enroll in an NRA, "BIT" or "Basic Instructor Training" class?

Other than Argent Training, I believe the closest NRA training counselor to you will be Matthew Courtney in Lake Charles, LA. You can use the NRA's search page (http://www.nrainstructors.org/searchcourse.aspx) to look for courses. Though not specifically listed in the search options, any training counselor who teaches instructor courses can also teach the BIT. Alternatively, you can call the NRA Training Department at (703) 267-1430 and ask for a list of certified training counselors closest to you.

Thanks, Skiprr, that's exactly the info I was looking for.

If it's a prerequisite, I wonder why they don't list "BIT" training on the NRA site?
