Louisiana has been cracking down on owners of exotic animals, requiring licensing and inspection of facilities.
Obviously they have eliminated crime, poverty, and disease and have nothing better to do with their huge budget surpluses.

There actually is an underground network of owners of exotic animals who circulate information and help each other avoid possible seizure of their animals.
Speaking seriously, I can see both sides of the issue. We don't need government using public resources to enforce the wishes of "animal rights" ninnies, but some of these exotic animals are dangerous or mistreated.
I remember a few years ago some yahoo in this area had a tiger in a poorly constructed pen, and it ate a kid for lunch.
