Pepsi Beverages will pay $3.1 million to settle federal charges of race discrimination for using criminal background checks to screen out job applicants — even if they weren't convicted of a crime.
So if background checks are racially discriminatory for employment, why aren't they racially discriminatory for gun sales?
Similar situation at another company where a relative works.
They routinely run a drug test on applicants.
They are being sued by the DOL for discrimination because of this, even though the plaintiff applicant passed the drug test but was not hired because they had better-qualified applicants.
The basis of the suit is that, because black females are disproportionately drug users, then testing for drugs discriminates against black females.
It doesn't look good for the company. And this company is the most equal opportunity company I know of. They hire top-quality people regardless of race or gender, and they treat them very well.

Unfortunately, most of those "people" have positions of power in the government.

Try?
There's no "try" about it.
That's standard policy.
The ironic thing about "political correctness" is that it basically justifies past discriminatory policies and opinions.
By favoring any one group, you discriminate against another, and current policy MANDATES this discrimination.
So what's the difference between today's mandated discrimination and discrimination in the past?
Nothing.

No, it was not yours...it was mine and I have no problem claiming it...not sure how that happened, but I have seen strange things happen like that before.
When you have a community organizer running the executive branch, is anyone really surprised that the EEOC is expanding their definition of bias? The "professional victim" class has made quite a good living for decades at that game.
