It would be better for her not to have made a public statement like this. It would have much better for her not have gone through the situation that she did in order to come up with the resolve that is obviously behind her statement.

Despite her short stature, a 73-year-old woman reportedly stood up to two armed robbers who entered her home Tuesday morning.

She sure sounds feisty. It is too bad that the gun wasn't loaded. I suspect that she wouldn't have missed.

Old ladies can be very feisty. Here is one incident that happened a few years ago.
