Boring performance on Grammy's last night

Post by philip964 »

Watched the Grammy's last night for the first time in ages. I wanted to see Adele and besides Beach Boys, Bruce and Paul were going to be on. (Paul must wear a wig)

A performer named Nicki Minajs. was on. I had only heard her name, but had no idea about what she was about. It was the stupidest boring three minutes I have seen in a while. I also thought it was in bad taste especially for prime time TV.

I guess I am not alone.

Some of the comments are pretty funny. "So thirty years ago" and "wouldn't do this to the Muslims cause she is a coward"

Maybe she can repeat this next year for the Superbowl half time show with the Dead Mouse guy.

Funny, USA Today did not even mention her performance in their extensive write up. I guess they have the view, if you can't say anything nice, you say nothing.

We started watching some stupid shoot/blow 'em up crime movie on Encore where all of the cops were sweeping each other and everybody else with their shoulder holsters. It was so stupid, we switched over and watched the best part/tale end of "CHICAGO".

So tell us, were the Grammies worse than the Superbowl halftime puker?

The Grammy's... Hmmm... Is that a new sitcom about a group of Grandmothers?

It's based on the move "Driving Miss Daisy."

Turned it on twice.
First time "Whitney Houston.... Blah, blah, blah"... maybe 10 seconds.
Second time.... Paul McCartney.... Possibly the most un-entertaining music I've ever heard that wasn't opera.

DVR playback the rest of the evening. [need to get a new book]

YMMV

Yep, Sir Paul's new song is awful

The finale was worth watching, though. Joe Walsh never fails to amaze me. The man looks like every last synapse has been killed off by hard living, and he still manages to play a mean guitar.

I was happy that Adele won the evening (although at the moment, she's terribly over-played). Also happy that the Foo Fighters picked up an award or two. Nikki Manaj.

Was kind of disappointed Chris Brown was spotlighted by the industry. I mean the guy has chops and he can move but the whole beat up your girlfriend thing is just weak. Got a kick out of the dead mouse guy... and to think my parents thought I was weird for listening to Grand Funk.
