List of gun law PENALTIES?

I have searched google and this forum, but I'm unable to find a clear list.

Where can I get a clear list of not just the carrying handgun laws (I know where this list is), but the penalties if convicted of these laws?

at the end of each section on the Texas Penal Code, you will see something like "an offense under this code is a class _ Misdemeanor" ..

(cant recall the exact wording... darn CRS) ..


you can find the Offense Code Classification under Chapter 12 of the Texas Penal Code.

SUBCHAPTER B. ORDINARY MISDEMEANOR PUNISHMENTS

Sec. 12.21. CLASS A MISDEMEANOR. An individual adjudged guilty of a Class A misdemeanor shall be punished by:

(1) a fine not to exceed $4,000;

(2) confinement in jail for a term not to exceed one year; or

(3) both such fine and confinement.

Notice the dates too ... those are current, but if you are comparing to what fine/etc there was 15/17/30 years ago ... it could have been different dollar amounts etc back then if you are trying to figure out what class ... by what amount or comparing 2 different States ... I'm not sure how that works since some stuff in 1 State is a bigger/lessor offense than in another State.

FWIW I think the fed gun laws are title 18, section 922-924.
