After a while one of the actors came around to the tables asking if we could read ... and if we were willing to take part in the play. Even though we didn't know how it all worked we said we would. After a while the guy comes back to the table with a safari helmet and a tweed jacket and gives it to me. I was selected to play retired British war hero, Colonel Mustard.
I started wondering how I was going to change into my "costume" without being made. None of my friends knew I was carrying. I thought about backing out, but I decided to "take the role".
While people were served their dinner I ended up ducking around a curtain, changed jackets and quickly went back to the table. A couple people at our table wondered why had to leave just to just change jackets. I played Colonel Mustard and no one had a clue that I was armed.
The murder mystery was about a guy who shot my wife, Honey Mustard, with a revolver. When I saw the plastic prop gun, I thought that mine looked more real, but I didn't offer to let them use it. It turned out to be a lot of fun.
