A friend has been badly hurt

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

We see God's hand every step of the way.
As do we.

"For with God nothing will be impossible." (Luke 1:37)

We continue to pray for Randy.

Some good news!
A New Day
The past few days have been very stable, so the dr's decided to cut down on some of Randy's medications and allow him to begin waking up.
Today has been a day of lows and HIGHS.... although his CT scan remained the same, he has begun to wake up! This started out slow, but we all remained hopeful and waited on the Lord. During the 4:00-6:00pm visit today Randy opened his eyes on command! Pam was able to hold his hand & see his eyes looking at her for the first time in 8 days. He was also able to blink & give a thumbs up when the nurse asked him to. Josh, Buffie, and Jody were also able to see his eyes open.
They say they will continue to allow him to have times of rest and begin to let him wake more and more closely monitoring him, so that he does not become overwhelmed.

I feel like the host of angels is singing with me... Glory to God in the Highest! Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

Please continue to pray that his cranial pressure would remain at a stable level as he comes to more. Pray that he would be able to continue waking on his own. Pray that when they remove his breathing tube that he would have minimal pain and his breathing would be good. Thank you for your continued prayers.
“Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. And, weak men create hard times.”

A quick update:
Randy keeps improving! He's been awake, speaking a little, recognizing his family, gave a kiss to his wife, making jokes, and even moved out of ICU this weekend!

As would be expected, he's still struggling with short term memory, speech (especially pronunciation), and will require some real rehab time to assess how much of an impact there will be long term.

Praise God for the great news! Still a long journey ahead, but the family feels that this weekend brought a miraculous turn of events.
