Sitting out in my garage nose deep in the internet. I'm out in the sticks now, so it is very quiet at night. All of a sudden, the horrible crashing noise of our garbage can falling over. We're in the middle of a bathroom remodel, and it's full of tile, so you can imagine the noise.
Never have I had my pistol unholstered and low ready as quickly as I did then!
I had the beejeebers scared out of me! In that split second of noise, I knew that (1) my wife was in the kitchen and (2) the girls were in bed. I was drawing. Slo-Mo thought process in full effect. Never found out what it was...saw no animals (2 or 4 legged).
I have to get up early...so much for going to bed now!
