Florida "Anti" billboard - maybe not

As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

Here's a test for you: Take your 1911, MAKE SURE IT IS UNLOADED, turn it upward, cock the hammer and drop a pencil, eraser down, into the barrel. Pull the trigger and see how high it goes. If your firing pin spring is what it needs to be, the pencil will hit the ceiling. :thumbs2:
I keep several pencils as test eqipment. Good way to see if a gun at least minimally functions. I have seen several at gunshows that didnt even eject the pencil. Seller wants you gone real quick then.

Nice billboard...can't believe it is an anti board. Says just what I would want a pro billboard to say. Be good or be gone!

If I were living in Florida I would have to write to the Brady Bunch. Thank them for their public spirit and financing a sign that is designed to lower the crime rate within the State of Florida.

Anyone have access to Florida State Rifle Association stationary?

So, does this mean we need to make a financial donation to the Brady Campaign so they will put up similar signs at our state boarders? Might actually be worth it.

Florida law now allows people to shoot to kill if they feel threatened
Sounds a little loosey-goosey to me. Surely the law is tighter than that.
But it does remind everybody that, "An armed society is a polite society"!

The biggest complaint I have is the lie about visitor versus resident. It's really goodguy versus badguy.

Goodguy visitors can legally use deadly force if attacked by a badguy resident, if they reasonably believe it's needed to defend themself or other innocents from the badguy's actual or threatened deadly force.
Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.
