Concealed Carry in a National Park

Post by Crash »

We will be vacationing in a National Park this year and I plan to carry my Ruger SR9 and Ruger LCP, both concealed. The LCP will probably go in my right front pants pocket, or possibly AIWB if I wear my shirt outside my pants. I'm considering carrying the SR9 in a fanny pack, and although this often identifies the wearer as a "carryer," there will be so many tourists there with fanny packs that it probably won't matter. Alternately, I might wear the SR9 AIWB and put the LCP in my pants pockets or a fanny pack. I need recommendations for fanny packs for both pistols as well as AIWB holsters for both of them.

Opinions? Recommendations?

Tommy Gun Packs used to be good but I think the new ones are made in the Far East, and I'm not talking about Yonkers.

Wilderness Safepacker is good gear but the price keeps going up. You can sew a North Face or similar patch on top of their logo patch to disguise it, although their tree logo is pretty low key to begin with.

I carry a Nano concealed everyday in public using a fanny pack from Amazon.com. Nobody pays any attention to what I am wearing. http://www.amazon.com/Ka-Bar-TDI-Enforc ... d_sim_sg_1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; It is very comfortable and totally conceals. It will hold 3 additional mags and comes with a heavy duty built in belt.

I use this one:

Fits my Glock 17 nicely. I use it while hiking and jogging.

What park are you going to? Make sure you're legal, and make sure you have the right gun for the right reason...
