I always pull close enough that there is no way a human can get between my window and the ATM.

I do all that. Haven't scratched anything yet. I look around during the approach. Doors are always locked on my vehicle whether I'm in it or not. Roll down driver's side window only. (If passenger window is down, I roll it up on approach.) Too close for anyone to squeeze between. I don't even put my vehicle in park (and I'm very careful to keep my foot firmly on the brake). Card is in hand before pulling up, no digging for it at the machine. I know my number and where all the buttons are located. Fast, fast, fast, in and out, gone. Pull away as I roll up the window,
then park and put money and receipt in wallet if necessary.
