Looking for a Home with land

Post by ctsmith9962 »

Hello everyone,

I am starting to look for a new home to buy and would really like to get one with some land on it. One thing that I would really like to have is to be able to set up my own little shooting range in the back of the house. Does anyone know of a good place for sale that is not to far away from the DFW area? I work in irving and would like my drive to be under 1 /12 hours to work.

So let me get this straight,
You want a house with land on it - you want to live underground?
And you want to be no further than 1/12 hour (5 min) drive from Irving?

Hey, Underground housing is a good idea when Tornadoes are around.
There's probably lots of places you'd like close to Austin, Central TX but around DFW, I dunno that area any more, I moved from there in about 78.

good find first glance; 22 acres, not far from Irving, dunno if it fits requirements otherwise

Yeah, entering "dfw rural realty" in google was a huge effort. "rlol"

I'd recommend Wise County as a place to start based on your criteria. Drive time all depends on how flexible your hours are and when you have to pass through certain areas.

Gunshots are pretty common in this neighborhood!
Guns are like parachutes, if your ever in a situation that you need one and you dont have one, you'll probably never need one again.

underground shooting ranges should disturb the neighbors less.
and you might find gold
"rlol"

or a gas line  :eek6

I once saw land listed years ago which had 2 caves on the property, one cave had running water year round in it ... I thought, water powered generator for electricity, Tornado shelter, food storage, etc etc. While I was contemplating whether to open it as a resort and live in the house and rent out the caves or live in the caves and rent out the house ... someone else bought it. Good thing probably, as I didn't have the cash then, ... I forgot where the place was.

You've just ruined me. My wife and I are on this arc also, and we spent a couple of hours last night looking at different properties.
