I have a job, but the weather is too bad to do it right now
(obviously I'm a contractor and not a Marine, LOL)

Re: Dont you people have Jobs!
I work shift work. Days, Eves, Mids. 10 hour days, three days off/week until July then I retire with 45 years in my profession.
Been doing some leather work in my spare time the last two years. I have gotten pretty good at it. Going to do a little custom, tooled leather work as a paying hobby. I don’t intend for that to turn into another job.

God Bless America, and please hurry.

You old-school guys blow my mind. I know it was common even for multiple generations to have the same job, often at the same place, all their life, but... man, I can't see myself doing the same thing until I retire. There's too much other crap I want to tryVoiceofReason wrote:then I retire with 45 years in my profession

I worked at 4+ places all in electronics. I have been fortunate to be paid for doing something I enjoy.MadMonkey wrote:You old-school guys blow my mind. Started in vacuum tubes, finishing with microprocessors & digital communications.
Last few years I have made in the six figures.
Edited to add: It's been a great ride but I am ready.
God Bless America, and please hurry.

I have been making 7 figures for quite a few years now...but the fact that 2 of those are on the right side of the decimal point is of no consequence to me.VoiceofReason wrote:Last few years I have made in the six figures.
