I have no Idea, Never held one of those. Or any other type double stack .45. But I have double stacked Para Ordnance's and I will say the grip width of the Kimber is thinner than the para's. Since the Kimber does not have grip panals, It be like if you took the thin grips off a double stacked para. Which in turn makes the "total" width of the Kimber grip more narrow than a standard 1911 with regular grips(more full bodied of course).







 
   
  
 They gave it up years back, although not sure why they couldn't get any where with it?  S&W and Sig do just fine with their externals on their 1911's.
