Should I take a hint? or am I doing something wrong?

Post by Divided Attention »

Recently posts I have made - they show up on the thread for a while - are disappearing. Should I take a hint? This is happening to hubby as well. These are not "touchy" posts, but sure can make you think you are crazy when things go away that were there before.

One of them was a response the the question to ladies about do we think how we carry would have made a difference in the baby kidnapping/murder of mother thread.

If I have done something wrong, would the mods please tell me so I can behave?

Any suggestions?

I think it must be something odd. If you had done something wrong you would have been told.

If we delete a post, we usually send you a PM. Unless, your violation was SO blatant that you obviously knew it, and did it anyway. Somehow, I don't think that is your problem...

When you click on the "View Your Posts" link at the top right corner, are your posts there? Or are they still missing?

I have had posts seemingly disappear but think mine were due to my doing a preview then forgetting to do a submit.

Your not taken seriously if you don't get rapped every now and then. Plus, somebody has to keep the Mods awake and on their toes.

If you'll give me an example of what one of the posts might have held in the way of key words, I'd be glad to do a search for it on my own to see if it really does come up.

TAM - wouldn't they come up in "view my posts"? The most recent was discussing carrying IWB 1230 - 1, dealing with infants, carseats, diaper bags and not sure if it would have made a difference or not because I don't know the details of the confrontation. Wondering if situational awareness alone might have avoided the tragic outcome. I am too old, tired and senile to remember specifics about others, sorry.

DocV - I too have done that, but this got the "post successfully posted" comment - and then returned to the thread.

Internet (IP protocol) does not guaranty 100% the transmission of information. It is best effort protocol. Things, 0 and 1 can get messed up on the line and go underworld :evil2: :evil2: Vampires are very close, the smell is too strong :woohoo :woohoo

Senile and diaper bag? Those don't go together. Well, not in the sense that you're putting them together.

No wonder nobody notices me :waiting:

Maybe I should start being offensive.

TAM - No sir, this was made right after the question was asked - I believe by WildBill about if how we carry may have made a difference. It was day before yesterday I believe, but this week has been so crazy I don't remember the date specifically. I just thought maybe my loquacious pratter had caused me to overstay my welcome. ;-)
