I got invited to a concert at our local municipal event center. I just realized I prob can't concealed carry, although I'd like to but at the moment I'm not going to.
It's a venue hat will sit 6,000 people I believe, and I don't the the 51% rule will apply.
I'm in the middle of looking up laws, but it seems like a no brainer (No)
Anyone know the current laws governing this?
I appreciate the help guys!

Reading through the laws, seems a bit unclear

I wouldn't be so sure.

Jones Hall in Houston is definitely not posted as of about 6 months ago. I have carried my .380 on my body and Mr. Shasta's full size .45 in my purse (not planned that way. We were late and had to valet park).
If you give the specific venue, someone might know.

What's unclear? There's no law that makes concerts off limits in Texas.

Re: Concealed carry at concert?
I am guessing, but if it is a municipal events center, it is probably government owned so 30.06 is not truly applicable. There is no law forbidding carry at the concert unless it is a school concert. Then it becomes gray but is probably legal.
Don't let the law on sporting events confuse you because they sometimes take place there. it is the event that is off-limits, not the venue.

Jones Hall is City owned and the concession for alcohol does NOT cover the entire building, carry away young padiwan. and Jones Hall shall never be posted, if you see one of those nasty 30:06 sign let me know and I'll remove it myself!
