After you mailed your CHL App in

How long was it before they noted that they had received your materials? I sent mine in a week ago and they still show that they are waiting for my required documents.... Is this pretty normal?

Welcome to the foru soonerbldr. This a pretty normal. The information of the website isn't updated every day. It may take 3-4 weeks before they show up as received. Mine took about two weeks, but it was a renewal which seem to get processed faster.

It was thirteen days before the web site acknowledged mine after it was received at the DPS mail room.

Thanks for the response... I was just worried it got caught up somewhere... I gave it to my wife to mail and she just sent it regular mail on Tax day...
