Raining lead in Harlem

Post by TxD »

Almost unbelievable.

"Two Harlem cops yesterday fired a staggering 84 shots at an armed thug after he squeezed off one round at them — but the punk incredibly survived and was charged with slaying his sleeping kid sister and trying to kill their mother, authorities said."

Anti-gun public policies lead to police forces who are inept with firearms. Plain and simple.

Why should NY LEOs worry about qualifying with service weapon or even about accuracy -- when "no honest citizen" [And, they are all honest, right?] in NYC has a firearm to begin with.

...Dallas has done almost as poorly...just because they hang a gun on a man doesn't mean he's proficient with it...no wonder Superman has a cape...

How many who read that are asking ...

Why would they NEED more than 10 BULLETS in their CLIPS?
(Out of 84 shots, he was hit 14 times)

Hey, they are better shots than the one's in CA (only 84 vrs 90 in CA. Although, this guy survived, while the guy in CA was killer, so maybe is a tie. viewtopic.php?f=108&t=54428" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

A couple of years ago, I took an defensive shooting class at a nearby college. The teacher is a retired police who also teaches CHL and trains police cadets. At one of the classes, he gave us the same shooting test they give at the police academy for the police trainees. He told us that it usually take the trainees 4-5 tries to pass the test. There were 5-6 people in the class. Two of us passed the test in our first try, by a wide margin over the minimum score. I doubt most cops do any significant training after the academy.

The sad part is that one of anti-gunners objections to civilians being armed is that we are not as rigorously trained as cops are and that we might miss the target and hit an innocent bystander. Wonder how many of those 70 bullets that missed came close to hitting a bystander. :banghead:

They must have been using BB guns. After all, we all know that it only take one .45 to stop a threat. :roll:

It logically follows that an anti-gun state would have police who are bad shots. Not to mention the addtions of new York triggers and new York plus. Which increase trigger pull from 5.5 to 8 and 12 pounds respectively.

How enlightening!!! But I have another piece of important information to share with this thread:

The Sun-Spot Cycle leads to police forces who are inept with firearms. Plain and Simple

(Facts and figures to support this will come at a later time!!! But does anybody here really need those? Trust me. I'm a junior member and I slept in a Holiday Inn Express last night!)
