Surprise When Opening Hood

Went to change the glow plugs on my little commuter car and found this when I raised the hood.



She slank down into the engine compartment and I started the car and let it run for a while. Looked around and couldn't see her so I started working on the car. Almost got done and she pops her head out and strikes at my gloved hand. I waited until I had a clean shot and got her with my little Gamo pellet gun.

Not thick but somewhat long. Just a rat snake.

Check this article out. Interesting that 100% of the calls that the wildlife expert received were actually not the poisonous snake reported. I would probably be that person calling. It is hard to tell the difference in Texas snakes sometimes. Especially in the water. Glad it worked out ok for ya
