Evidently when your status changes to "MAILED" that just means they threw it into a pile that will eventually get mailed??? My status changed to mailed on Saturday April 21 and as of today Friday April 27, no plastic.

Mine supposedly "mailed" the 24th...I still don't have it 
I'm sick of getting my feelings hurt after I check the mail and it's not there! Haha!
My DH got his last week. His status changed to "mailed" on like the 18th, but it wasn't postmarked until the 23rd. I don't think "mailed" actually means it's in the mail, just that it's thrown in the pile to be mailed when someone feels like it.

Mine went to "mailed" on the web site on the 12th. I received it in my mailbox on the 19th. It was postmarked on the 17th.

It is "comforting??" to know I am not the only one waiting on the "mail" to arrive. I suspected that "mailed" meant it was thrown into a pile to be mailed at sometime in the future. Probably send them bulk rate and just wait for a big pile.

I live 20 miles outside of Austin and mine said it was mailed on the 24th and as of today still no plastic. I live 20 miles away how can it not be here. I am like you and thought of just calling them and telling them to save the $ for the stamp and I will come and pick it up. Oh well now I have to wait until Monday I just dont know if I can do it.

We live with in walking distance of the DPS headquarters. Mine showed mailed on Tuesday and still not here. My girlfriend down the street went mailed on a Tuesday and it was in her mailbox on Thursday. I was sure hoping I would have mine this week.

I'm comforted in knowing that my fellow members are waiting for their plastic as well. Mine changed to "Mailed" on the 14th of April!! Still, NO plastic. It's upsetting to get home from work and run to the mailbox only to be disappointed.

I had to register so I could vent as well. I now understand what this section of the forum is for.
I mailed everything March 26th, and everything seemed to have gone fast. I didn't mind the wait for the first update, and background check, but its really agonizing waiting for the mail. I have been on mailed status since April 20th, and was really expecting it today, but nothing.
Nobody mentions that the hardest part is the wait for the mail. I'm having thoughts that the mailman is hiding them in purpose. When I didn't get any mail at all, not even junk mail, I'm wondering if he got in a wreck, and today, I have somebody else's mail mixed in mine, I'm thinking he gave mine to a different address, and I can't go check everybody's mail boxes. I always go take people's mail to their place, but never had that favor returned.
I called DPS and a lady said it can take up to 14 days, but I can't even call them until its 30 days, at which point they'd declare it lost and make a new one.
If you're waiting and checking your status to say mailed, I'd advice not to. As soon as you see mailed in your status, it'll drive you crazy.

I found this forum in a search and had to register too.. Mine changed to mailed on 4/20 . The first part of the process went fairly quick for me. I mailed everything in 3/24. Anyway hope to have in hand soon!

It appears we are all in the same batch (hopefully). Mine switched to mailed last Friday on the 20th as well and I have yet to receive it. I really thought I was going to get it on Friday the 27th... and then I was sure I would get it on Saturday... now I am just frustrated that I actually expected to have it today.
While I am not sure where they mail out of, I do share the same zip code as the DPS headquarters in Austin so hopefully I will post some good news tomorrow afternoon, and those that live further away can plan accordingly.
