Ok hi folks I have seen and searched for answers to my specific question but during my review of each thread I have found it seems like the persons ADD kicks in and the subject gets redirected to something off topic, as my thread title says my Chl status said mailed 10 days ago and I have yet to recieve it in my hand and I was wondering if this was normal being that I live in Houston which isnt very far from Austin at all.

"Mailed" means it went to the mail room. Doesn't mean it went out the door in the hands of the US Postal Service.

Thank you for the info, Sorry Ma'am and its just weird to me cause the fire chief my dad and I took the class with has already recieved his and im just making sure mine and my dad's has'nt gotten lost in the mail.

I have the same situation. Talked with a wonderful woman at CHL Dept. She told me to give it 10 business day's. She stated they will not reprint until it is 30 day's past the mailing date.

yeah mine and my dads were both sent out saturday and its been 10 days

Mine got lost in the mail. I had to wait another 4 weeks before they would resend it.

how can you tell if it has gotten lost in the mail or not? I havent ever had a problem with things getting lost in the mail.

You can't. However, just because it says mailed on the website doesn't mean the USPS got it that day. It may have gone to the bulk mail distribution at DPS, then had to be picked up, sorted, etc. Hang in there, it may show up in a couple of days.
