Gun Friendly Businesses
Fortunately, all of our local towns are gun-friendly (except all those restricted places on DPS list).
I can add that Tractor Supply Company and United Supermarkets are gun friendly. The United Supermarket does have a sign that says (in effect) "No UNLICENSED carry". At least these are the cases in our own area. Don't know about other towns, places...
It's nice to live in rural West Texas...!!

Gander Mountain has a sign about checking in guns, etc---but the bottom of the sign (in the same size lettering) it says "This does not apply to Concealed Permit Holders"

Re: Gun Friendly Businesses
I've noticed a lot of gunbuster signs, non 30.06, since I started to carry. I don't know if the are anti's wanting a sign or if they are appeasing the bunnies.

Stores that sell alcoholic beverages are required to post this sign.Running Arrow Bill wrote:The United Supermarket does have a sign that says (in effect) "No UNLICENSED carry".

...and, as far as I am concerned, it really reads, "Please carry your legally licensed firearm".

I love this sign because it means that...Running Arrow Bill wrote: The United Supermarket does have a sign that says (in effect) "No UNLICENSED carry". At least these are the cases in our own area.
1) They sell that devil liquid but are not a 51% establishment
2) Had to go through a thought process of posting a sign about licensed carry and
3) Most do not have a 30.06, but if they do, it's usually right next to this blue sign
When I see this blue sign, it's more comforting than no sign at all.

Cute little sign I saw last weekend in Somerville behind the check in desk at Americas Best Value Inn.

By their own words they are insuring you. The next of kin will own the hotel if something goes wrong.glbedd53 wrote:Cute little sign I saw last weekend in Somerville behind the check in desk at Americas Best Value Inn.

Re: Gun Friendly Businesses
I hate to burst your bubble but none of these businesses are gun friendly? I've seen a rare few that encourage you to come armed if licensed.

I like academy's sign at the entrance. I need to get a picture of it, it reads something like- for our customers safety open or concealed carry is welcomed according to local and state law. Not exact wording, but close. I'll try to snap a picture next time I'm there
