It made Good Morning America, Gloria Alred is her attorney. She was outed by the Houston Press. Apparently doing it for 8 years.
Hard working young woman, holding down three jobs. She also teaches at U of H.
One comment from the public: her boss must have been a woman.
You just have to love sweeps week. All three TV stations have also picked it up.

She's been doing it for 8 years. What they need to do is to check into the person that found out and turned her in. What were they doing there?

I looked all over the place for a "dollar at a time" donation thingie, and then suddenly I figured it out.psijac wrote:This there a place to donate to cover her legal fees. Aside from the one dollar at a time format?

And years ago I supposedly had a girlfriend who was a stripper, but that's a whole 'nother story.

I have no idea of what you are talking about. Not a clue. That's my story and I'm sticking with it.psijac wrote:This there a place to donate to cover her legal fees. Aside from the one dollar at a time format?

In a right to work state like Texas, it's very hard to prevail in a lawsuit like this. We will have to see what happens. This one is a little strange so it may not disappear from the news as quickly as most.

If she can't show either of those, I hope the judge or jury makes her pay all of the company's legal expenses to defend against her lawsuit. I also hope future employers google her when she applies for a job and take appropriate measures to prevent being sued.
If she can show that the company didn't fire male employees they knew were exotic dancers and/or that they fired all the women at the company, that's good evidence the "termination was discrimination on account of [her] gender." In that case I hope she wins big.In a one-page EEOC complaint, Tressler wrote that she was terminated "because my prior activity as an adult dancer was not disclosed when I applied for the job. I believe that the stated reason for my termination was pretextual in that I answered the questions that were put to me truthfully in connection with my application for employment. The true reason for my termination was discrimination on account of my gender.''
