Shots Fired.... We fortunately avoided it

Post by snatchel »

For once I am happy I did not end up going to the movies tonight! My wife and I planned on going to see Avengers at the Big Spring mall since we are here visitng my grandfather. My wife took a nap instead, and we ended up not going to catch the movie--good thing, else we would have walked right into this mess...

Yes they are!

I'd still recommend seeing Avengers. We saw it in 3D at an IMAX. Very cool and funny.

shots were fired, but the deceased individual was also apparently run over by a vehicle

According to the news release, there was a fight that broke out in front of the mall, and someone produced a handgun and fired shots. This is where it gets interesting... the person who produced the handgun was apparently ran over by a fleeing vehicle, and this vehicle had bullet holes in it.

It was a good movie, but not up to all the kudo's I was seeing from everyone. Sometimes its better to go into a movie with lower expectations. Better than Expendables. Not as good as Act of valor. Rotten Tomatoes is showing it with better reviews than Titanic. Its not better than Titanic.

Which reminds me of the guy who edited Titanic into an "improved" version and released it onto the net. Ten minutes of the sinking. Alas, seems to have disappeared. Can't imagine why TPTB objected.

Im afraid that I don't understand what you mean by a token visit? Either way, my Grandpa doesn't go to movie theaters. He thinks they are overpriced (they are), too crowded (they are), and the sound is too durn loud (hmm... I may disagree on this one).
