WHIDPA Multigun results and after action report

Post by Bob Wolff »

Well, weather was great, range was great, and shooting was great.

Had 14 shooters for the match, including 5 new participants. Thanks all for coming out and you new guys....I saw alot of smiles so I'm sure you'll be back.

Had 4 scenarios:
1st was long shots, 4 steel targets at about 110 yds, par time of 25 seconds.
2nd was a rifle only stage in the center bay. Had to navigate a chevron of walls and shoot em as you saw em. It was a deceptive stage in that it looked alot easier than it was.
3rd was a pistol-rifle stage through your choice of windows.
4th was a shotgun - pistol stage where you a limited number of shotgun ammo and had to finish with your pistol.
Highlights
Judson with his early model colt 20 " A2 with iron sights and his garage special Stevens shotgun, used them both really well.
Watching everyone as they navigated the Chevron trying to keep track of threats
In the window stage the different approaches that were taken to hit the "hidden" threat target......all you had to do was shoot through the theat in front, shoot throughs count.
The improved level of all our shooting..most shot the long shots under the par time...well done
At the after match lunch and executive bull session, it was decided that Mike R and Dave R should each be given a 20 second Failure To Show Up penalty. and yes they knew you were up at the LA State match!!

Thanks to all for the hard work setting up and tearing down.

Results:

Low points down: Richard Ortmann...nice shooting

Match Winner: John Ely..well done
See ya next month.
