Joined the wait almost a month ago and just stumbled upon these boards. Been wearing my gun around the house to get used to it, reading up on penal code, and pretty much anything else I can occupy my idle time with so that I don't constantly check on my status.

Status so far:

24 April 2012 Packet mailed
30 April 2012 DPS received packet
16 May 2012 Background check: under review

Hopefully it wont get stuck there

Well, no more constantly checking the DPS website. Status changed to mailed last night. Hopefully in my hand by the end of the week.
