I hate to be "that guy", but it's fake ;-) . You can use This website to generate a "sign" that reads the message of your choice.

I was hoping to get a least on reaction before I shared the link!!

I spent last night making up signs for local churches that my friends have/or used to attend, oddly enough it worked about 60% of the time.

lol, sorry! I didn't want to be the party pooper.

Really though, one has to wonder how many criminals actually stop to think what they might be getting themselves into... guess it just drives the utter craziness of those that would willingly harm another human being for their own gain. I'm very glad our state allows us to carry in places of worship. :txflag:

I doubt our church is nearly 85%, but we run about 250-300. The church actually held a CHL class at the church, and 15 took it. That's 5+% just in that one class. I know several members already had their CHLs (one of the members was the instructor), so I wouldn't be at all surprised if we're 20-25%.

We all still have memories of Wedgewood a few years back.

The CHL question has never been discussed at my church, and I have never disclosed
that I have carried ever since January '09. I don't think my carrying would be understood and accepted.

I did find out, outside of church, that one of the retired lady teachers at church has her CHL, and has .38
snubbies hidden in most rooms of her house, but she felt that carrying at church wasn't right for her.
I explained that it was completely legal, but have not followed up with her to see if she started bringing a .38
to church after our little chat.

Since I usually have both of mine on me during church, if anything bad happened, I may just give her my revolver
and use my semi-auto myself. Heck, if she's comfortable with .38 wheelguns, she'd probably do OK with my .357
loaded with .38 JHP's.

My church has a security committee made up of LEOs who attend church there, and most of them know who most of the CHLs are because we're all friends. They seem to like the idea of CHLs in church.

I don't know what my church's opinion is and since they haven't posted a 30.06 I don't particularly want to bring it up. You know, just in case. We also have several LEOs that regularly attend. I'm not reall close enough with any of them to have told them I have a CHL.

How many folks know of a church that has posts a 30.06 sign? Are any of them Catholic churches? I am Catholic and would probably be more than just a little surprised if there was one that had posted one.

I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

There were four people in my CHL class, and I was the only one who was not a Pastor.

I have only told a few church friends about having a CHL, and I never mentioned anything about carrying at church. I suspect the majority of our parish would not understand or like the thought of other parishioners carrying at church. I find this ironic since there is ample precedent for self defense and carrying weapons in all of the things that they pay attention to, i.e., in scripture, in the early church writers like Augustine of Hippo, and in the realm of reason (which of course brings in modern criminology research).

I have been told that several deacons and a couple of pastors at our church are CHL holders.

Several CHL holders carry in our church, with the Pastor's knowledge and support.
The Pastor has (privately) said that it makes him feel safer.
