NASA telescope headed for Palestine vanishes

Post by tomtexan »

Millions of dollars worth of equipment.

PALESTINE, TX (KLTV) - Some University of Minnesota students are scratching their heads after several years of research, in the form of a high tech balloon telescope, has vanished.

Well that's odd. I wonder who stole it, and how much trouble the driver is in?

The trucking company fired the driver, so you can kinda guess that he probably didn't do what he was supposed to do.

Note that the report is out of Palestine, Texas (pronounced Palace-steen, not Palace-styne).

It wasn't destined for the Israeli's favorite neighbors.

Yet they insist on spelling it in such a manner as to cause people to say "Palace-styne". I mean, really, if they can't be bothered to spell it right...

Well, same thing in eastern Collin Co.
There is a small city called Nevada(Na-va-da) with a hard "A" as opposed to the state out west, Nevada(Ne-vaa-da) with the soft "A".

Note that I was making a small joke. Perhaps it was too small to be out by itself.

Hey I got what you were saying, and to be honest the first thing that crossed my mind was "why are we sending a telescope to the Palestinians?".

That's not accurate for the 99% of trucking companies that are reputable. I've dealt with thousands of drivers over a number of years and have not experienced that situation.
