While this incident is in the UK, there is no doubt our libs would like to imprison people for using "offensive" language....meaning anything they disagree with.

Even in Texas. viewtopic.php?f=83&t=18155" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I don't believe they have freedom of speech in England. Too bad violent criminals in England don't get similar sentences, but the PC's in England don't care about peoples safety. only how they "feel".
Re: 21 weeks in prison for offensive language
So far the score is England 1, Texas 2.

Not really. Calling 911 for something other than an emergency and being charged with abusing 911 (including profanity) is not the same category of offense as mere public speech. The other incident, while overreach, is closer to the same kind of behavior, but the result is entirely different: i.e. a citation and fine versus 21 weeks in prison. A fine may be an annoyance, but 21 weeks in prison is a life changing and potentially very destructive punishment, and it may lead to a number of disastrous economic consequences after the sentence has been served. Also, in the UK case, it wasn't really "profanity" that was being punished, but politically incorrect speech about race.
