LT and ScubaSigGuy..........I don't do the WallyWorld thing. Big city WalMarts are places to be avoided in my book. In fact I try to avoid the malls and big box stores whenever possible.

How about Academy? Would that be an acceptable WalMart substitute?

HV.....as you no doubt know by now, I couldn't make it. Had a 12 hour work day today and all I'm thinking about now is going to bed. Enjoy the match and good luck!

RKirby,
I did make the Wally Walk, but I went to Sportsman's Warehouse, Academy, and HEB well before hand. I think the board will approve your request, but personally I feel you have to buy something firearm related for validation. Since Academy doesn't sell food, I also motion that you should have to stop at McDonald's or Whataburger----EAT IT, NO DRIVE THROUGH OR CARRY OUT!! Seriously, congrats and I hope it only gets fired for fun! ;-)

RKirby,
I am with you & dont go to WalM. When I got my CHL I knew nothing about the Wally Walk. Some time ago I suggested Academy instead of WM due to the better envirnment.
I was informed that the WM walk was to be among a great # of People that would mostly be indifferent to anti. It was to show the new liscensee that no one was seeing that you were armed.

I am still firmly in the camp that says you may ammend the WM walk to an Academy March.
Welcome to the street. Glad to have another armed GG in our midst.

OK then...it's a done deal.

First to Academy for some Hydrashocks and Blazer and, since Academy doesn't sell bad nachos (or good nachos either for that matter), then I'll be off to Whataburger for lunch for a grilled chicken sandwich and Diet Pepsi. I know...doesn't sound that great but I'm working on loosing 10 pounds.

Oh, BTW DSarge... I don't go to McDonalds either. :ack:

Now, if the mail man brings my new CHL license tomorrow morning I'll be ready to become an officialcard carrying member of this community. And a great community it is!

Thanks for having me. :txflag:
