Got my pin number last week after taking the class Feb 3rd and mailing it Feb 5th. I almost wish I wouldn't have. I was doing much better with the waiting thing before I had the ability to check it twice a day on the internet. My status since I've gotten the pin is "Processing Application" I was truly amazed at the amount of the information given there!! Cheers to goverment work  Currently, Day 39 Hope it isn't too much longer! I am sort of concerned about everyone mentions "official court records" attached when regarding past history. I had something on my record (class c misdemeanor) that was past the 5 year mark when I took the class, and I just went to DPS website and pulled a criminal history report on myself that showed the disposition, etc and printed it and attached it to my application. Hopefully the DPS' OWN documentation is sufficient to get me past these checks.

Wheelman,
No doubt that PIN is more of a curse than it is a blessing. I check a couple opf times a day thinking my rare last name and squeaky-clean record will miraculously result in a super-fast issuance of my CHL. Hey! One can hope  Our timeline is very similar, so hopefully we'll be eating nachos around the same time!
Cheers.
