Distance one way to Las Vegas is approx 1500 miles. We left Galveston with a full tank of gas at 11:30AM CST Friday afternoon and got to our resort in Las Vegas by 1:30PM PST Saturday.
If anyone wonders the kind of mileage a Honda Odyssey gets on a long trip like this, it's 24.1 MPG. It ranges from 18.1 MPG traveling in town in traffic at the strip to 32 MPG with cruise control on mountainous terrains 7000 feet above sea level.
