The Bucket-List couple
Don't you just hate it when a plan DOESN'T come together?
Couple are told man had terminal cancer, and so they go on a spending spree -- then are told they were mis-diagnosed.
Now they're broke.
(I think I saw a movie along this line.)

Re: The Bucket-List couple
I keep wondering what the woman planned on living on, once the old man was dead. Maybe she figured she'd go with him?
At 69 and 65, it can be pretty difficult to reconstruct a life. Tough to make a living as a Walmart Greeter.

Ummm... WalMart doesn't have greeters any more, at least around here. Now, Sam's Club - that's a different story! And, since employees can buy cat food by the case......sjfcontrol wrote:At 69 and 65, it can be pretty difficult to reconstruct a life. Tough to make a living as a Walmart Greeter.

What a way to go!
I believe the basic political division in this country is not between liberals and conservatives but between those who believe that they should have a say in the personal lives of strangers and those who do not.

If this happened in the U.S., the couple would sue the doctors and get a million dollars. With their settlement, the couple would celebrate and buy some really good drugs and OD. -30-

they were counting on the guy's life insurance to pay off all the bills and leave here with money to live on.

Isn't it good they have socialized medicine in New Zealand, then?WildBill wrote:If this happened in the U.S., the couple would sue the doctors and get a million dollars. With their settlement, the couple would celebrate and buy some really good drugs and OD. -30-
