30.06 example sign is missing now
Anybody know where the new 30.06 example is? The DPS site link (http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/administra ... osting.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) no longer works.

The verbiage is in the CHL-16 http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/InternetFo ... CHL-16.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I kind of like the fact the example is MIA; that way businesses have to work a little harder to figure out a proper 30.06 sign.

Or they can do like some businesses are already doing and put together whatever they want, figuring that the police departments will handle violators "based on intent."Keith B wrote:The verbiage is in the CHL-16 http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/InternetFo ... Yeah, the businesses already don't much care if they have it right. I think it's time for the law to be revised to make it perfectly clear that there is one, and only one, correct sign, and that all others can and will be ignored, including significant penalties for violations by police, DAs, and all others who try to enforce "intent."chasfm11 wrote:Or they can do like some businesses are already doing and put together whatever they want, figuring that the police departments will handle violators "based on intent."Keith B wrote:The verbiage is in the CHL-16 http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/InternetFo ... Re: 30.06 example sign is missing now
It may have been removed because some businesses were just printing the example out on a sheet of paper and posting it, even though the print-out won't meet the requirements of the law since the print is less than one inch in hight. The law specifies that the print must be at least one inch in hight, IIRC.
